I accidentally started a PMP application ~80 days ago and relieved a 5 day warning. Since I haven't actually input any information, I have none to lose. Is there a consequence to letting the application 90 day lapse? Can I re-start my application in 15 days without issues?

I plan to do my application next month (I'm not ready now) - my main concern is that something would prevent me from completing the application next month.

Thanks.

Hi Thomas,

i was in the same situation some time ago.
You will be able to re-start your application once it has expired. Only thing i didn't know is if there is something like a "waiting time" til you can restart your application again.
You can contact PMI customer care and they can help you further.

Regards,

Markus

No waiting time ! Just ensure the previous one is either cancelled or dies own its own. you cannot have two applciaions running for the same certification, however you can at the same time have separate applications for other certifications.(Eg : PMP & PMI-ACP)

Do you mean the online application process?
I think if it is inactive for 90 days they close it, you could possibly make minor modification to reset the counter!

When this happened to me, I was able to restart the application the next day. All the information I had previously entered was still available.

You can let it lapse/expire and restart it when you're ready. Otherwise modify existing if it didn't lapse.
