Do you think that there is some way to avoid conflicts in an organization, or are they always going to be present?
I think it is very difficult to avoid conflicts in an organization, when we work with different cultures these increase and sometimes we get out of hand. Saving Changes...

Its a question like risk . can you guarantee a risk free project? No . where there are people there are bound to be conflicts . You can only go so far to take measures to minimize the effects or proactively work towards avoiding conflicts
Where there is people there's conflict.
You can minimized them, but eliminating no.
In a group or a team personal objectives can conflict between peoples.
I go with Deepesh, work to minimize conflicts.

People, processes and technology.... there will always be a conflict of sorts. Like risk, it will be there but can be managed. Enterprise environmental factors such as organization culture, politics (internal and external) are all contributors to hot button issues. Having a mitigation strategy; confronting, smoothing or compromise are some resolution tactics.

I approach conflict the same way I approach concerns presented by our markets about whether or not there will be issues following a large software implementation. The real concern is not whether or not it is going to happen, it's about how well we prepare for it to happen and how we deal with it when it happens. There will be issues post-implementation. There will be conflicts. How you handle them says more about you than whether or not they happen.

You can mitigate them but you can avoid them. It is inherent to human being.
