If you are a project manager at a government organization that provide financial services. If a professional survey question asks about your organization industry and provides you with many choices that include: - Financial services. - Government. What to choose and why? Do you consider government as industry?
I'd choose financial services. The reason is that government can work and provide services in different types of industries (health, financial, transportation....) it is not an industry by itself. What do think? Saving Changes...

I too would choose financial services because government work would be typically a little slower in embracing technological advances. Saving Changes...
Governement is consider an industry by many, not sure of all the reasons, not doing thing for profit might be one. Rules, speed, complicated process are likely other.
Do you consider you context closer to Bank or other financial services industry ? Saving Changes...
The context is related to government financial services. For example, in many countries there is a government organization (i.e. ministry of finance) that is responsible for providing financial services for the government and public (e.g. government budget services, revenue services and other financial services).
Some surveys ask the participants about the industry type they work in. These surveys provide options to choose from. The options include (Government, Financial services, and other options...)
The questions are, 1- If you work for a government organization that provides financial services (i.e. ministry of finance), do you consider yourself in (choose) government industry OR do you consider yourself in (choose) financial services industry?
2- I'm wondering if "government" is considered as an industry by itself. Saving Changes...
