I have been assigned a Smart City project and I was wondering if any of you have work a project like this before? Any recommendations on what is the best approach to start?

In this case, I think it would be a good idea to consider it self-sustaining
Also think of ecological systems, such as automatic irrigation system in parks gardens or solar lights in parks or bus stops
Maybe you are trying to make the city attractive to people and tourism through the smart concept
Think of the city as a big house, what would you like to improve in your home?

Hi Francisco, I have some experience of smart city projects. I would suggest to map all stake holder's expectation with project. It's kind of program management embedding multiple project, Project deliverable ranges from core infra to App which reside on individual users HHD & its logical integration. Users/stakeholders will vary from highly skilled to novice, Avoidance of scope creep would be challenge, tight management of change-request would be required, All the best Saving Changes...

I know this is an old thread that has been resurrected, but as soon as I heard "smart cit"y, my mind immediately went to NEOM. I wonder how that project is progressing, as well as the one from the OP.
