As far as I know, MS Project is a licensed product, it means, not free download.

You can download a 60 day trial version of MS Project from Microsoft here:

Try libre Project instead. It is an Open Source free version, that support the MS Projects. files. I use it even more an MS Project, and it has the same capabilities. Did I say FREE?

If you are looking for an alternative due to MS Project licensing, I second John's suggestion with Project Libre. Its free, runs cross platform (which is great b/c MS Project does not offer a MAC version), and can open .mpp files (MS Project files). That can be especially handy if you are using practice files from a course or online training.
