Hello all. I intended to go through the PMP certification journey but not sure where from should I start? Should I start from reading the 600+ pages PMBOK5th edition? Or starting from Rita book? O both!!! I am confused and need help in this phase. My experience is 15+ iyears and need to make it certified. Please help, your valuable advices are highly appreciated.
My advice would be to do a precursory review of the PMBOK guide first.
I realize the material can be a little "dry" at times, but it will give you a greater understanding of what the RITA PMP material portrays.
A basic project management course (not the exam prep course) requires very little time investment, and would help to highlight key elements of the PMBOK guide, without the need to actually read all 519 pages. Saving Changes...

I advise you to start studying Rita's book but do not read the process book as it presents the book.
I suggested that we followed the sequence of the project phases according to Ricardo Varga's process flow chart.
Then you can read the PMBOK Guide, always remembering that the PMBOK Guide is a book of logic and common sense. Saving Changes...
There is lots of free videos available on youtube. I used many where they read definitions from PMBOK. It helps. You can listen to them many times and it helps to better memorize all definitions. Saving Changes...
