Validated Changes

Question that stumped me. It has been determined that several deliverables due today do not meet the technical specifications. A change request has been generated and approved. The defect repair is repaired, or so it seems. During what process are changes validated?

The Answer is Control Quality and hence my issue.

Control Quality spits out Validate Changes. It goes into the M&CPW as an input. How can a change that is an output be validated if it is not an input. I know all 618 ITTOs in great detail but there are times when I get one wrong. Trying to understand this reasoning. My test date approaches and I am simply fine tuning my knowledge base.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There are two activities related to quality: quality assurance and quality control. Quality assurance is about to verify all related to the process to create the product/service/result is happend as defined. The focus is process. Quality control is about to validate (test) if the component that has been created match the definitions. The focus is terminated product. QA is on process. QC is on created component. Both includes all that will impact process (QA) or product (QC).

Replying to Tran Minh Quoc
...
From my understanding, Monitor & Control Project Work as its name mentioned is about Monitoring & Control all the work within the Project SOW. From this perspectives, approved CR that has been reviewed to be considered VALIDATED CHANGES (this happened in Control Quality) has to be reported to Monitor & Control Project Work. This process then consolidates the Validated changes together with other SOW to understand the current state of the project in overall. Through Monitor & Control Project Work, this process may or may not identify Change Request. If CR is identified, Perform ICC will be the process that Approve/Reject. Approved CR will again be implemented, reviewed & become VALIDATED CHANGES.
I agree with Tran, that's the correct explanation.
