Thank you for your reply Vincent .
Being a PMP certified project Manager , core knowledge and tools I apply at work are same.
My main responsibilities at current job are :
I manage various projects from beginning to completion and subsequent delivery.
Project Manage multiple jobs concurrently at various stages of completion.
Breakdown each job into sub projects.
Schedule projects in the workshop to optimise resources including machines and workforce.
Manage the procurement of parts, tooling and services such as other workshops when capacity is full, painting and heat treatment
Ensure jobs are completed on time and according to cost and quality.
Ensure all documentation is complete and filed in accordance with the quality system.
Liaise with Workshop Supervisor, Business Development Manager and various Suppliers to ensure a positive customer outcome.
And using MS project software for scheduling and reporting purpose.
I hope above skills I can use in another sector but only problem is lack of product knowledge.

Join some LinkedIn groups in fields that you are interested in and follow conversations for starters. IT is broad; infrastruture, telecommunication, database, software development, and lots more. Before you start taking classes, join your local PMI chapter and meet other PMs. Network and broach the subject of seeking new opportunities.
You may find organizations that are looking for PMs and get started in what direction their projects are going. It would be a big waste if you start learning about cybersecurity and then an opportunity with a financial instution for software development projects comes up. Good luck and keep us posted as to how things pan out.

If you are looking to being a project manager in an IT or financial sector, just remember that most of the processes you listed as your responsibilities in your current job are applicable in these fields you have mentioned. All you may need is foundation knowledge in understanding the technical language (jargon) which will help you communicate effectively with your team members. Good Luck. Saving Changes...

This is also a very helpful approach. Saving Changes...

Can you get on a project in your current job that has an IT aspect to it? Also look for an opportunity to work under an experienced IT project manager as a project administrator. Nothing like having a senior IT project manager to learn from. Saving Changes...

If your manufacturing department is going to implement a software package or replace any hardware, get involved in that project . That will give you an insight into an IT Project . Also try to gain some general knowledge on that software package, it's interfaces, it's functions and it's architecture . Saving Changes...
