Can the Scrum method be used for IT Project not SW development related?

Just to add Scrum is a simple framework which can be adopted to deliver business value fast. It a basic framework which is described by 3 roles, 3 artifcats and 4 cercemonies. On top of this simple framework, you can use your own processes which are needed for the success of any project, it is not necessarily to be software project. Scrum framework can be used where we cannot predict the whole work upfront

My friends used Scrum to plan a wedding :) I think Scrum is a perfect tool that fit to almost everything if you know how to use it and you truly understand it.
