Hail and well met!

I am super excited to be joining the community on the back of taking up a new role as a project manager in Dublin, Ireland. The reason for my post is two fold. Firstly I'd like to greet the community. You all seem like a friendly and talkative bunch from the articles and discussions I have read.

Secondly, I'd like to reach out and see if anyone out there might have relevant experience with my job role area and be able to provide me with an did few insights or lessons learned. I am moving into a role as a PM for software localisation and whilst I am reading up on lots of general PM stuff, I'd love to hear about some specifics related directly to Localisation.

If there is anyone there who would be interested in talking to me in a little more detail, please feel free to contact me. I'm not looking for a mentor as such, but a guiding hand would be most welcome.

To those I've not yet met, hello, it's nice to meet you!

Welcome to the community.

Can't help you on your PM specifically.
I would say understand the original language, otherwise the translation will be strange.

Check all usage of the messages, I was confronted with message that did make sense once translated. Often use by many sub routine.

The best advice I can think of is never stop learning. Take a continuing ed program or two monthly 0 many are free and very good!
