Hi All , How is your emotional intelligence journey as a Project Manager progressing?
Can someone share insights into how this has helped them progress/become better in their careers and Lives
I have just started delving into this area and have started reading
Emotional Intelligence 2.0 - Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves
I also saw the PMXPO 2017 presentation by Naomi Caietti which was very good

and have placed an order for Non Violent Communication book, recommended to me by Saket Bansal .

I also attended a PMI Local Melbourne Chapter presentation regarding a book by Judith Glasser on "Conversational Intelligence"

Managing and understanding feelings of your group members is greatest of all skills as it helps in keeping their motivation and organizational productivity to its peak, as a project manager one must know how to keep his/her team organized and productive as If you try getting work done using your authority then he/she would look for his comfort zone by not focusing on the quality of the work or if your force quality then turnover rate would increase exponentially in organization or just in your team.
If you want to keep your employees for longer time while getting good quality of work from them there is no other way than being emotionally intelligent and keeping your employees feeling home and happy at their workplace.
