Risk register helps to maintain list of risks in procurement management. Risks could be:
- specific risk attached while selecting a vendor
- timely delivery of goods/product
- quality of goods/product

I am in agreement with Nian and Sonali.

If you look at the role of the risk register, it is our tool to organize all risks identified, their priority ranking following a Qualitative Analysis, the assigned risk owners, and the risk response strategies that we have come up with to mitigate or eliminate the risks. It is this last item that most directly relates to Procurement Management. Any resources that will be needed to implement these response strategies will no doubt affect what we need to procure.

Following any additions or changes to our Risk Register during the life cycle of a project, we need to go back through our planning processes and make sure that we are updating Cost, Schedule, and Scope and any of the subsidiary management plans that may be affected by these changes, (to include Procurement Management).
