PM performance improvement?

Describe how you would recommend solutions to improve project management performance?

Stephane, I think the difficulty with your question is how broad the topic is. What areas of Project Management Performance are you wanting to address? How project mature is the organization? Is the concern in one of the knowledge areas? Project Life Cycle? Change Management? Risk Management? Expectation Management? etc.

If I was in the position, the first item would probably be an audit to determine the current status of the organization, then work to put together a SWOT analysis to present along with perhaps a business case that shows what the weaknesses are costing the organization. At least it's a place to start.

You're right, Matthew. The question encompasses a lot of possibilities. Understand that this question could be ask of you for a proposal. (RFPs often ask vague and unclear questions.)

My intention is to see how people address the question and their approach to an answer.
