In the past few months, I've read many books on project management. However, I'm still not sure how can I calculate the PDU's earned especially with this new talent triangle criteria.
Can one elaborate on reporting such PDU's by giving an example ? Saving Changes...

I am currently working on estimating the time I read my books. I am a "slow" reader and typically goes back and forth to better understand non-fiction books. I try to be conservative in my PDU claims so I use the lower read times or lower hours.
In fact, it estimated 5 hours and 53 minutes for an average reader (300 WPM) for the book The Leadership Challenge which is almost the same as what Thomas linked in his post above: https://www.pmiwdc.org/index.php/2016/09/m...park-book-club. Saving Changes...

Any book that can be related to project management, it is your responsibility to defend the reading you have done.
You could go to the Public Library, book on-line, or other reading that has value for Project management.

Dear Adnan
Interesting your question.
Never reported PDU's for reading Project Management related topics
In my opinion, reading and study are part of professional development.
It occurred to me to ask the question: How important are PDUs or profession-related learning? Saving Changes...
From my understanding, you can split across different areas of the triangle. Fill out the respective PDU Reporting form as needed, identifying the correct talent triangle areas, with additional information to support it in the description section.
Now, what I am not sure about is how do you break up the content across the 3 areas of the talent triangle? My guess, is your best professional guess. I'll assume it will be audited to ensure the reporting is accurate.
I believe the max is 30 PDU's for self-directed learning - such as reading.
As I tried to claim PDU's from the previously mentioned book, I decided to give the book 10 PDU's only in Technical for both PMP & RMP (RMP only has Technical part).
The result was that the 10 PDU's were approved only for RMP & rejected (or suspended maybe) for PMP.
The reason for suspension was that minimum requirements for Leadership was not fulfilled.

For seal-directed reading, you report those PDU’s manually under Education - Read.
In theory, each 1 Hour of reading, equals to 1 PDU. In terms how you divide them between the different triangle categories, you would give it your best judgement, just like you did.
I am not clear as to why your PDU’s were suspended ? Never happened to me before or heard of it, can you elaborate more so I can help you better.
As for your comment that Reading should be reported per page, that doesn’t really work as there might be many pictorial pages.
PMi’s reporting system for PDU’s is very easy and straight forward, you just need to read the guide.
