In past experiences, all relative project information was kept in a single excel workbook, using worksheets for various plans as needed/required by the organization (charter/overview/executive summary, stakeholder register, tasks, time tracking, risk register, comms, issue tracking, ...)
Realistically, this could be built as needed with a collection of existing templates satisfying the above by copying or mimicking in excel.
Ideally, if this is the chosen method for your organizations project management, best to manage centrally in, for example, SharePoint, or another medium to enforce versioning, and security.
Hope that helps. Good luck.

We must examine old ideas, old theories, although they belong to the past, for this is the only way to understand the importance of the new ones and the extent of their validity."
