Any insight as to when we will see the effect of the previous administration passing into law the the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act of 2015 (PMIAA).

I see it does not include the Department of Defense, so that's a significant part of the budget/job market off limits, unfortunately.
I would expect some trouble from entrenched interests. A sharp project manager might deliver more service with fewer dollars, but the resulting cuts would lead to complaints that the PM (and his/her department) doesn't care about the people being laid off, or the people you're spending less money serving (even if it's being spent better). I'm starting to see it at a local level. I just updated my profile with the NM Workforce Solution, and they provided an option to look up occupation by education. Sure enough, project management was listed as NEW. However, the occupations under the education was limited to managers, all other, supply chain, and one other occupation. As for the federal government level, it'll happen at the speed of molasses. Saving Changes...
