I hate to sound like a complainer, but we are implementing a server based PM system and I just don't see why? We don't do that much project management and for the projects that we do MS Project Professional meets our needs just fine. I think this is a waste of time and money for a team our size. Dear Anonymous, your question is a fair one. Have you asked your manager or IT head the reasons and justification for the new system? Often times a long term strategy or roadmap can be implemented in phases and sometimes ahead of schedule. There could be business timings, priorities, and funds availablility that may contribute to doing now something that is in the view of the strategic plan.
