I have been diligently building my ProjectManagement.com network, at first to get my badges but now I am just keeping the growth going. Are there some good uses for our personal networks? There are several members here with massive networks; I have to think there are some good benefits for the effort. Saving Changes...
Ken, this is a very good question. I am hoping someday there will be a way to integrate our networks in Project Management.com to other social media services such as LinkedIN, Twitter, etc. I mean, without having to add the connections twice. This would be very beneficial. Another feature would be great to have live chat with people in your network if they are online at the same time. This would allow us to foster more meaningful networks. Saving Changes...

Great to know Ken and Demetrius. I only started using this forum very recently, for me, it is helpful when I look at the questions and answer them, that way I am honing my PM skills as well. Also, getting to know people in the same area is always a great feeling. I have also observed the engagement here is much more than linkedin groups. Linkedin groups are just there when people share, there is no reciprocation or a conducive interaction on a topic. I have seen it here better than linkedin. Saving Changes...
I started using projectmanagement.com couple of months from now. Initially I used it to practice questions from PM Challenge and earned good badges in my profile. However I found discussions and forums equally useful with active participation of PM’s all over the globe. Now I spend time more in this site other than social media websites. Saving Changes...

The more active members in one's network, will increase the amount of content exposed through the activity stream (network news). This community is not on a modern social platform, so there are some limitations compared to what users expect when it comes to a SN.
There have been some recent improvements and I see PMI continuing this in the future. Saving Changes...
I think we can definitely make use of network connections.
- When you are working in specific domain, search for people working in the same domain and share knowledge with each other.
- More information is shared via projects and resume of individuals. Look into their resume so that you can ask relevant questions and would be benefitted.
- Some of the connections write very good articles and share case studies which would be useful in practical life.
- I find Discussions and blogs most useful, as we can read various questions/answers and comments. It not only push us to think on such skill/situation but also provide views of individuals around the globe. Saving Changes...
