I got the following email from [email protected]:
TITLE: Project Management Institute issued you a new badge
The message reads "You've earned a badge from Project Management Institute" It's followed by a PMP badge and an 'Accept your badge' link. I saw no mention of a badge when I logged into my PMI.org account.
Is anyone familiar with Acclaim? Or is this a rather decently executed scam? Saving Changes...

it is not a scam, but sure it is a digital tracker, it gives the vendor and/or pmi points to emails, LinkedIn, etc. activities Google knows already everything about me, that is enough I don’t plan to use it Saving Changes...

Hello everyone! I can confirm that this is indeed real and not a scam at all. :)
Please know that you do not have to claim the badge, or post about it online if you do. It is a way to show proof of PMI certification, making it useful in interviews or other situations where having quick access to that validation is handy - but it's an option and not mandatory. Hopefully a useful one for many of you!
Now, I am more confident to accept it after reading this thread, cheers! Saving Changes...

Hi guys,
PMI already verifies us.
I would recommend not using any other sites or clicking on any links. Just because a site looks fine doesn't mean it is not malicious. Also be aware any links can have embedded code that can overtake computer. Sitea cam easily fishout personal information from other sites than use it to send you personalized email messages. It seems that the PMI / Acclaim partnership to provide digital badges for PMI certification and credential holders caused some confusion. It is true that PMI sent an e-mail ("PMI Launches a New Digital Badge Program with Acclaim"), but, in this age of ransomware, PMI could have been more proactive communicating the partnership before sending it out. And, before handing member contact details over to Acclaim, it would be courteous asking members permission. Saving Changes...
I agree it is not a scam but did anyone read their terms and conditions? They ask to be granted perpetual license to display, distribute etc my content!!! Really? Saving Changes...
