One lesson learned early in my professional career is that you don't get unless you ask. A core issue that I have with my current organization is that there are zero professional growth or development programs offered. I'm a senior operations leader, that utilizes project management on many levels within my organization. Focused primarily on critical risk assessments, process mapping (cross departmental alignment), workflow identification and organizational change management strategies. However, despite the request of a more beveled education surrounding experience, my company turns a blind eye to development. I'm seeking a mentor that is willing to invest in my future as a leader and agent of change. Are there any resources or advice surrounding this ask?

Hi Steven,

There are a few members here that may be able to provide assistance for you. Also, have you reached out to your local Chapter?

Good Luck

His Steven,

Your local chapter is a great source to reach out to, or to help you find a mentor. I would be willing to discuss and provide guidance on many topics if you are looking for an online mentor.

USA actually provides tons of helps from local chapters. ;--)

I think if we can maintain the contact we can exchang experiences and learn from each other.

I have asked local chapter in Germany and there is no such Service or channel at all. The only channel is to e.g. participate Events and Meetings otherwise you don't have this Chance. Maybe we should suggest PMI to Setup this globally according to industries and experiences then we will have 1 to n Mentor and mentees.

I'm the director for the Mentorship Program in Vancouver BC (Canada). We have a wonderful and very successful mentorship program and offer intakes every three months. Would be more than happy to work with your local chapter to help get a program up and running if they don't have one already.
