Have you ever been treated terribly by another project manager while working on a project? What did you do to address this kind of behavior?

It is up to you. It is not about a code or any other type of thing. It is up to you. On the other side organizational culture (style for example) has a great influence in this type of things. So, the first thing to do when you will work into a organization is to understand the culture.

Sergio, I read somewhere that code is an important factor in shaping the culture and behavior of the people of the Org. What are your thoughts?
Thanks,

Not at all. Mainly if you talked about PMI´s Code. What matters is your attitude to face this type of situations and the organizational culture mainly. Each time yoiu will start something into an organization an analysis has to be made. To do that I use Tom Peter´s Seven S model. When you take a look to the variables like style, shared values you can decide, for example, if you will start working inside that organization or not. Right now I am working inside an organization that has its own code and when you are in you see that the organization practice it. But it is up to you.
