The approved Change Request is an input of Direct and Manage Project work but the output of that is Change request?
In simple terms, Direct and Manage Project Work talks about execution of work.
And Approved Change Request is the approved work to be performed.
Hence, the work to be performed becomes an input to the execution process.
Approved change requests contains some extra efforts / new added scope which is agreed / approved and in Direct and Manage Project Work , where in the work happens and the Project Team converts into desired delivarables.
