What causes my Influence to fluctuate up and down by one point?
Ken BradshawProject Manager| CRASurrey, British Columbia, Canada
I've noticed that my Influence rating fluctuates up and down by one point. This seems to happen every day or two. My best guess is that we all are being averaged out against each other. Does anyone have a better explanation? Thank you. Saving Changes...

The algorithm takes in lots of factors. I had reached out before, and this was the response -
Influence is calculated based on over a hundred different factors, including interactions, participation, creation of content, reaction to content and of course, time. The data is compiled and processed and the results are then run against algorithms and plotted on a 100 point scale. What's more, the scoring is not on a linear scale. It's easier to move up dramatically in the lower scores, while climbing gets more difficult as you move into the higher ranks. And although it's not strictly a competition it is a fixed 1-100 scale so the actions of others and their influence affect your influence too

The point being, if you like being active - continue to do so and the influence rating will follow. Saving Changes...

Ken, is simple to understand. And like any simple thing to understand is hard to implement. All related to this field must be understanding by applying the Isaac Newton´s Third Laws of Movement. That´s all you need. I wrote an article about it that was published by the IIBA and the PMI in their official publications but is in Spanish. No matter my article, take a look and I firmly believe you will find the answer to your question.
