While the Industry tends to say a Project Manager is experienced as long as he successfully completes his/her projects on time and in budget for the scope defined. But the reality states and shows that it is highly difficult to achieve every project's success especially in a smooth manner. The single most important skill that preserves the sanity of the PM, as well as the success of the project, is versatility and flexibility. For example, making right decisions, going along with changing priorities, determining what comes first and to what level, asking the 5 why's ... all of these make the PM a great achiever.
