Hi, I'm interested in we can keep large teams productive - since there is a natural tendency for productivity to drop off due to coordination, communication overheads and social loafing.
I've described my experience in this linkedin article, but would really welcome other ideas/views on how to solve this classic challenge.
According to Tuckman's theory any team must go through these steps to attain a his high potential :
1-Forming where the team understand the project and their roles.
2-Storming where the team start the work but with conflict to size each other power and influence.
3-Norming where the team come to a stabilize state and know each other better.
4-Performing where the team work at an efficient level.
5-Adjourning is the last stage it's during the closing phase of the project when the team will be released.
So I think in order to get to the performing stage you will have to work on the first two stages wich are sensible by organizing more team activities in order to have a cohesive one. Such as soccer game between team members if you have the time to do it or any other game you think is best. Saving Changes...
