Seeing with New Eyes

Marcel Proust said:

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new lands
... But seeing with new eyes.”

Seeing with New Eyes implies recognizing Waste that was not ‘seen’ before -
at work, or everyday processes.

People are not ‘waste’ ... But they are often engaged in ‘wasteful’ activities.

Co-workers are often heard to complain about how there is so much to do. But many of their activities do not add value.

Identifying and eliminating non-value-Steps would help people spend more time on activities that add-value.

When ‘process-change' is mentioned, we hear: "if it's not broken, don't try and fix it" ... or ... "that's the way we have always done it."

Questioning and examining Processes enables improvement. Innovating - doing things differently, creatively and adding value will help people (and the organizations that they operate) See with New Eyes!

Data With Insights ... leads to ... Decisions With Clarity !!! What are your thoughts?

I feel - Process is meant to simplify the work, or set a clear procedure and reduce the chaos. Once a process is set and things are streamlined, it is time to improve this process. Setting up a process is not a one time activity, but an on-going development to keep improving the productivity.
