Dear Anonymous, good question. Most people view Six Sigma is a process improvement methodology; the output of which are projects which would be managed following a project management process. One way to look at it is, a Six Sigma process improvement effort produces projects; but not all projects in the portfolio are as a result of a six sigma process improvement effort. Here is my take. We have projects and then we have projects that employ six sigma. Six sigma is project management fine tuned to predetermined precision.
