What is the difference between PM and PMP?

PM - has multiple lineups, Is it Project Manager, Product Manager that you wanted to differentiate with the PMP or related with the PMP.

Here PM refer most of the time to Project Manager.
PMP is a certification in Project Management .

I agree with Vincent - PM in the context of our profession (portfolio, program and project management) refers to the Project Manager.
As for the PMP , it stands for Project Management Professional - as per PMI.org

Project Manager is for to achieve project objectives & projects have definite beginning & End.
Where as Product has never ending.
Product describes the description & project is to define of what work to be done.
