There are lots of good web sites that will show you how to use prioritzation matrices to help you manage work. Just google prioritization matrices.

As far as applying them to Perform Quality Assurance, you simply need to define those activities that need to be prioritzed.

Hi Tam,

The Prioritization Matrix or Pugh Matrix (a Six Sigma tool) is criteria-based decision matrix tool which uses criteria scoring to help you choose between multiple concepts for a new process, product, or service. It is generally as defined with voice-of-the-customer (VOC) input.

lt is so called: Pugh matrix, decision grid, selection matrix or grid, problem matrix, problem selection matrix, opportunity analysis, solution matrix, criteria rating form, criteria-based matrix.

This tool is used to help a team quantitatively determine from several alternatives the “best” solutions for a given problem. It is widely used in quality, product design but it can be applied to any decision making, too.
There are different scenarios on how to apply this tool depending on your industry.

Here are the basic steps: (below are the references links)
1. Brainstorm the evaluation criteria appropriate to the situation.
--You may refer to the VOC input, too.
2. Discuss and refine the list of criteria. ...
3. Assign a relative weight to each criterion, based on how important that criterion is to the situation. ...
4. Draw an L-shaped matrix. ...
5. Evaluate each choice against the criteria.

Kindly check these reference links. I hope you will be able to access these links in your country.
