BugBox is PRINCE2 software for project manager2, teams and sponsors. But PRINCE2 software is actually pretty thin on the ground.
In the spirit of openness, I can think of only a couple of other PRINCE2 software tools (Project in a Box, for example, is a newly-launched PRINCE2 software package) that are good examples of PRINCE2 software... but that's about it.
Anyone else got any good examples of PRINCE2 software? Anyone else got any plans for PRINCE2 software or tools to be released? Anyone with a good 'home-made' solution that they use and share?

Hmmm -quiet out there, isn't it? Does this mean the there is no PRINCE2 software knocking around, being used? Rather, I suspect that everyone is using PRINCE2 software 'in their heads' -like spreadhseets, wee homemade Access databases and the like. PRINCE2 software is, actually, as much of a process as the project management method it supports. Can anyone gice an exmaple of their own PRINCE2 software? Saving Changes...

Hi Stephen, perhaps most of the Gantthead regulars are from the USA. PRINCE2 isn't as widely adopted in the USA as it is in the UK. Just to clarify, were you looking for PRINCE2 specific software solutions or project management methodology (PMM) software solutions in general..? Congrats on BugBox, it looks nice. We see a lot of organizations, especially small and emerging, seeking to and ready to move away from spreadsheet based help desk and change management tools to a ready to use and not so expensive vendor solution. It is worth refreshing this thread with latest news....
PROJECT in a box have now launched a Professional/Enterprise version which has gone down very well in the UK (as you would expect) but also has quite a number of users worldwide including the US. It is fair to say though that most of our overseas users seem to prefer the 'lighter' flavour of PRINCE2 offered by P2ABC but find it a great advantage to be able to mix and match these lighter methods alongside the authentic PRINCE2 in their system.
Matching the project management methodology to the requirements (size, exposure, risk, novelty etc.) of the project it shouldn't be a revolutionary feature but it certainly seems to be.......
