The exam will eventually change, but not for some time after. But there will be a period where both exams will be available before phasing out the 5th edition exam.

Hello Sante,

i am not sure if this is correct information?!
From past experience there was not such a "parallel phase" where both (the old and the new one) exams where available/choiceable ...

Could you please reference the source of this information?

And the exam would not change "eventually" it will change definitely, but not before the end of 2017 (like others already mentioned correctly).

Regards,

Markus

No, Vithal. You only have to take the exam once, as long as your PMP remains in good standing.

Those who are looking to attain PMP certification must do so in year 2017 - earlier the better. PMI is going to release 6th edition of PMBOK Guide in Q3 2017. Soon afterwards (most probably in Jan 2018) PMI will start conducting the PMP exam based on new edition.
