What are the advantages of receiving the CAPM Certification?

I am in grad school getting my MBA right now and interning in a PMO office. I am thinking of going for the CAPM certification, as I do not have enough experience for a PMP. By graduation I will have at least a Six Sigma Champion Belt and possibly a Green Belt. I was wondering if a CAPM certification would be helpful in furthering my career and how companies view potential candidates with this certification. Any thoughts would be very helpful. Thank you
