I am based out of US leading a small/medium sized ECommerce Software engagement. I am the only one on the client side in US while the entire team (About 20 people) works out of India.
We have reached the end of the project and the entire team will be rolling off next week and moving to new projects.
Team burnt midnight oil multiple times to honor the schedule and deliverable to the client. I want to thank each and every one of them for their commitment and hard work.
Can you suggest some innovative ways to thank my team? Saving Changes...

Hello Prateek: I respect you as a leader for wanting to thank your team and for recognizing their long hours and making their deliverable! That's the sign of a good leader! What about a team t-shirt acknowledging the project? We recently had a go-live and everyone received a t-shirt acknowledging the project success. It was fun and I wear mine with pride. If you sent a t-shirt along with a handwritten note to each person, I think that would be a great way to recognize everyone in a personal way.

Thanks Lori. The T-Shirt while might be a good idea, it will have logistical issues. Getting the sizes of the team and getting it done sitting remotely in a different country will have issues.
Hence was looking at something more personal, which can be executed remotely.
Hi! This is pretty cool, I think that a thank you letter or a Linkedin recommendation will be nice and almost free. If you want to spend some money a close project team dinner is always a good choice in my opinion.

A Linkedin recommendation for each team member is definitely a good idea. In addition, you can get each member a gift certificate to a place they're likely to use it, such as Starbucks. Gift cards can be sent to your team electronically, they don't expire, and Starbucks is so popular that members can pass the gift cards to others if they so choose, so they won't go to waste.
I don't know where in India your team is based, but a 350 Rupee gift card should cover any one item on a Starbucks menu in Mumbai. Even if you purchased the gift cards with your personal funds (total cost will be about $110 USD), it would be a very worthwhile investment to make. Moreover, you should be able to deduct the expense on your taxes (on IRS Schedule A, line 21).

Gift cards is a good idea :) Amazon/Flipkart are more popular locally in India for gift cards. Probably will go for that.. Thanks !

Are you looking to do something as a team or something for individuals?
As a team, it might be nice to pitch that out to the group to decide. Nothing worse than "mandatory fun-time" organized by a leader (ZZZZZZ).
If you are looking for do something more individual, I would try and go for something personal and unique. Show that you care.

Well I have requested the local lead in India to arrange for drinks and dinner - so team gathering is already arranged for.
Was looking more for a thank you note from my side - as I was front ending the team from client location. The "personal" and "unique" are the key aspects I am looking for. Something they would generally not expect. LinkedIn recommendation was something I liked - am not sure if there are more ideas around this.
