Hi Ali, congratulations.

Though not directly related to Project Management, this article from Business Insider covers basics that spans job roles; communication, learning about the culture, how to relate job responsibilities to achieving the mission, etc.

More specific, learn about past projects, PMO standards, expectations, introduce yourself, ask questions, be engaged, curious, inquisitive, listen, and absorb.

Good Luck. Wish you the best!

Your work plan will be the projects you are working on, but a key component outside (and inside) projects for the first 30 days will be getting to know the the organization, it's departments, it's people, it's culture, it's politics, it's systems and templates, it's thresholds, etc. Dive into these things, and the projects will be a lot easier. Congrats on passing the PMP exam and your new job. You will do great!

You need to perform the most forgotten activity but a critical success factor: elicitation. And you have to prepare for it. To prepare you can follow any process but you have to understand the domain where you will work in, the stakeholders into the domain, the external and internal environment. No about the organization where you will go. The focus is in other organizations inside the domain similar to the organization where you are going to work.

Congratulations on the PMP and the new job! Your first month is one of learning. Don't even think of trying to prove yourself until you have a good grasp of your organization and its clients.

If you can swing it, try to shadow people and observe what they do. (How they do it is less important.)
