I think we need to take a look to Apendix X.1. Estimate activity resources is not a new add. But it does not matter. What matters in my opinion is: the structure has changed and today you have the Guide and the BOK divided. Beyond that improvements are good mainly in all related to resources. By the way, there is not Agile Project Management. There is project management performed into Agile environments. I was part of the group of contributors and that was something highly debated into the group. You will not find the name Agile Project Management into the Guide or the BOK. That is critical to understand. Saving Changes...

For my part, I think it was high time for PMI to add tailoring considerations. I find people expect to use a cookie-cutter approach to each of their projects.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: a project is unique not just because your results are unique, but because the best project processes are also unique.
(Don't get me wrong: I'm not preaching going your own way. We all start from a base process that is tailored to the needs of your project.) Saving Changes...

I think addition of Earned Schedule Concept, as extension of Earned Value Management is also a positive change.
The traditional EVM is mostly focused on project cost and fails to capture the project schedule performance. Earned Schedule will overcome these limitations.
