I will manage new project for one of the leading manufacturing company. The main part of this project will be IT system transformation from one entity to another and data migration after aquisition. I think for this purpose i can use Gate methodology. Do you have some proposals how to best manage communication and whole project ? How many sub team , resources I will need ? Saving Changes...
At minimum you need to consider four main project transformation streams: Application, Data, Systems and People. All related work needs to be aligned and synchronized. For this you can use agreed Gates with clear entry/ exit criteria to be understood and followed by all relevant streams. I suggest you to establish a Project Leadership Team with dedicated responsibilities on the different streams. Establish a PMP that comprises also a Communication Plan, jointly worked out with the Project Leadership Team. Cross stream communication will be vital to the transformation project. Check the history of similiar projects from the past on order to get a first inital idea of resource needs and map it to the forthcoming project demands. Continue from there with more specific detailed planning. Saving Changes...
