How about risks concerning hardware procurement, absent team members, and using new technology just to name a few?
There is an excellent book, "Risk Management - Tricks of the Trade for Project Managers" by Rita Malcahy. It lists 58 pages of risks and opportunities (a risk turned upside down). The book steps you through Risk Management Planning, Risk Identification, Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis, Response Planning and Monitoring & Control.
The 13 month project I am on is tracking 44 risks and probably needs to consider more. I know of another multi-year, multi-million dollar project that was considered to be non-successful. They only identified 4 risks. Saving Changes...
