I saw today some PMI members complaining in Social Media about PMI Membership that will be automatically renewed and charged on their credit cards.

They explained that they received a PMI e-Mail with this information.

I checked my e-mail and I don't have any notification from PMI.

Are you aware of this? Did you receive this e-mail?

@Natalie - try these steps:
1) Log into PMI.org with your username and password
2) Navigate to myPMI all the way in the upper right (you'll see a drop-down arrow)
3) Click on that arrow and select "Profile and Settings"
4) Once you come to your Profile page - on the left-hand navigation, select "Membership Automatic Renewal"
5) From that page you can turn it off, update your credit card information, manage payments, etc.
Thank you so much!

Kerry - thank you for the detailed explanation.

We open this discussion topic on 2017, when this was a new feature. I'm happy that Natalie found it useful.

I tried to enable automatic renewal on my membership page but I got the error message that reads "You cannot enable automatic renewal within restricted period"! I cannot make out the meaning of this. please someone to enlighten me.

John, this could be a glitch in the system but in all cases, I highly recommend you contact custimer service via email.

This happens to users who have their credit card data stored on PMI website, and have selected "Automatic Renewal". If you don't want this, be sure to uncheck this option on your profile settings.

Yes. But it is an option you have to be check out. In my case I did not have it checked so I can decide if I will renew or not.
