A few from my personal collection:
- One knows past success when resources are competing to jump on board your project, when said project does not yet exist.
- Rescinding one’s principles for the sake of compromise finds future objections overruled.
- If all communication was explicit and aligned with objectives, Agile would require a life-jacket when swimming near a Waterfall.
- Before you speak, have confidence in your content and be resolved to the potential of being wrong.
- The "lack of knowledge" finds validity for a momentary pause, but sustained ignorance abdicates ones’ position.
- Risk-phobia is a treatable condition, just apply "challenge-based" principals liberally wherever realization is encumbered
- A management change is quite often the best form of change management.
- When the ability to make things happen becomes intrinsic, then it's time to wake up and start your day. Saving Changes...

Here's a few of mine, not yet mentioned. FYI, some of them aren't PM specific:
- Whatever doesn't get measured doesn't get done.
- If you want MEANINGFUL results do the hard work of setting up MEANINGFUL measures.
- Confidence comes from mastery. And mastery only comes from doing.
- If its not documented it doesn't exist.
- "Failure is the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently." Henry Ford
- "Before the deliverable is in the hands of your customer, communications IS your deliverable." (quote from PM interviewed in the Alpha study by Andy Crowe)
- To finish faster, start a little slower.
- Fast. Cheap. Good. You can have any two.
- I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

"Find the need, meet the need."
If we accomplish this, we've done our job and added value. We've appropriately gathered requirements and identified success criteria, developed a plan to ensure success, executed the plan, monitored to ensure success and closed the project with user acceptance and sign off. Saving Changes...
