I chose CAPM because i believe it is the right certification to get me into project management field. I could have chosen PMP as i have 11 years of experience in projects but as an engineering professional.
I did not want to be paper project manager. I am ready to embark on my next career journey in Project management.
What are your opinions on right approach to start a career in Project Management?

What would the CAPM mean to your employer? How could you get the project management hours?
My employer has a project management career path wherein entry level project manager role needs to have CAPM and 0-1 year of experience in project management .

Sit down with your manager and work out your development path over the next few years:e.g. CAPM, junior PM assignments, ..., PMP, senior PM assignments

Shahez, I can understand your interest in the CAPM to open door in project management. I have not see job posting that request CAPM.

I would go with suggestion from Stéphane.

If you go for the CAPM in short term, wish you best success. Remember that you will have to pass the PMP exam later for more recognition

"It is an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars and so on -- whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man -- for precisely the same reasons."
