Does anyone have any analogy that you have used in teaching / demonstrating the reason for developing high level estimates for projects prior to getting into the detailed rigor of requirements gathering. I am considering the comparison of developing a cost/budget for building a house as a comparative analogy. Are there others that any of you have developed or used?
