I tried this new Stand-Up format with my team and they love our Stand-Ups now. It makes so much more interesting!

I have found the use of a token object to indicate who can talk is very useful.

We do a 15 minute stand up meeting every morning, i believe it is very effective because expectations of topics to discuss are made clear and its a great way to get a feel for what everyone is working on and who needs help. Greatly improves the communication and collaboration in the team.

Glad that worked. I'm proposing to do that too. One in the morning and one before the end of the day.

Rebecca-
I am thrilled to see you have discovered a practice that we utilize in Construction. While we do have many formal Agenda driven meetings as required by Contract, I have found that to meet effectively with my Senior Staff I employ this "no sitting and getting comfortable" technique on a daily basis also. Forcing Participants to stand assures you that the meeting will be short and to the point.
For me, this is a counter to the local Cultural norms which require long discussions lasting hours while sipping local Tea or Coffee. I never have the schedule flexibility for this type of meeting, but I confess, when summoned to meet with my Senior Management I must participate like everyone else!
