I would like to know if we will be awarded with 8 PDUs per year for Project Management practice or it is 8 PDUs in total or Maximum?

Not sure, but if you watch one webinar per week on this website, you will get around 52 PDU's a year, not including other training, seminars, expos, teaching, volunteer work etc.

I agree Sante. The site lets you select webinars that fit into the required triangle (Technical, Strategic and Leadership). So one can choose from a variety of topics that fit into the requirements.

I agree. I listen to 1-2 Webinars a week, and you collect PDU's quickly.

If you went to PMI.org to claim your PDUs, you will find it under "Work as a Practitioner".

Here is the statement: The number of PDUs claimed once per cycle should be generally equivalent to the amount of time you were actively working within the profession. For example:
- If you were actively working within the profession for the entire 3 years of your certification cycle, the maximum allowable PDU value can be claimed (8 for PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and PMI-PBA; 4 for PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP)
- If you were actively working within the profession for half of your certification cycle, half of the maximum allowable PDU value can be claimed (4 for PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and PMI-PBA; 2 for PMI-ACP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP)

The Handbook does not specify how to pro-rate the maximum 8 PDUs. This has been the subject of a few discussions.

Vaishali -

I'd recommend downloading the Continuing Certification Requirements Handbook from the
CCRS site as it provides the details and thresholds for all categories of PDUs for all of PMI's credentials.

I found this useful statement when I clicked on the question mark "?" beside "Work as a Practitioner" in reporting PDU section.

I think it answers those questions precisely.

8 PDU's is the maximum limit for all 3 years.

Like previously stated 8 PDUs per cycle
A few webinars per month here, automatically added to your credential. You just need to choose to accumulate for Technical, Strategic and Leadership.

Just submitting some PDU's as Work as Practitioner , I've noticed in the question mark for information next to the PDU's Claimed section at the bottom of the page. They mention you can claim 1 PDU per hour. Surely that is wrong. Has anyone claimed and seen this before?
