Where can I find a legitimate list of competitively priced PMP exam prep tutors in Chicago? When I Google this, non-specialized options come up such as Sylvan, Wyzant, etc.

Adam, I would advise you to get in touch with PMI Local Chapter in Chicago and they will advise you on that.

Copy Rami. Also, you can check for Registered Education Providers on pmi website.

You could also check out the PMI Global Project Management Conference.

It is being held in Chicago, October 28 to 30. I'm sure there will be a lot of R.E.P. present.

Agree. The local PMI chapter in Chicago might have a PMP boot camp you can attend. Here is the website for that chapter

Thanks for the replies, all. To clarify, I have already taken accredited PMP bootcamp training, used many exam sims, read PMBOK 5, read the Rita book, read my bootcamp guide, gone to study groups, etc. I didn't pass the exam the first time.

Before the exam change to PMBOK 6 in March 2018, I am looking for a private tutor to work with me before taking the exam a second time. It seems like people are trying to push me to do expensive training again (including PMI Chicago). I can't do that, so I'm not sure where to start again. I can't go to the pricey PMI conference either.

I guess you have hard choices in front of you, Adam. How much is achieving the PMP exam on your second attempt worth to you? Do you think a private tutor will be free or inexpensive?

I know a private tutor won't be free. I'm happy to pay for one, but don't need to do training again. The reason I'm asking about this is because I don't know where to find a good PMP tutor in Chicago.

A quick people search of Chicago in this community reveals 901 hits. I'm not sure what's the best way to ask them for tutoring.
