I recently started a new job with a Project Management platform that has no resource allocation feature (i.e. seeing who is working on what and for how long each day). Is anyone else in the same situation who has found a creative solution to tracking this sort of data? Saving Changes...
Are you trying to plan or forecast resource utilization or are you trying to capture actuals on how much time team members have spent on specific activities?
If the former, and if you don't have access to a standalone project scheduling tools such as MS Project, you could use MS Excel to map out resource utilization on a week-by-week basis...
Lauren, take Kiron suggestion build an Excel or Access file to track it down.
Seem you need to track it by the hour or half day. If large file is to be expected I would go for Access. Saving Changes...

I would have to agree with the others. Excel would have to do. It's not ideal but with no other options, it would be the best way to track your resources. If your organization uses SharePoint, that would also work. It would also allow all those with access to see what others are working on and collaborate. Saving Changes...

Just be careful: you could wind up with a data porting problem. If you can easily export the data and pick it up in one of the suggested tools above, then go for it. If you have to re-enter it manually, I suggest you switch PM tool. Saving Changes...
