All questions are situational questions. Then you have to understand the point where you are in terms of process and the point where you will be next according to the question. For example, what you do first? Project scope validation or Project quality control?. This type of things.

As Sergio indicates, the PMP exam focuses more on scenario-oriented questions which test your ability to apply the concepts. There are still a few foundational type (i.e. memorization-oriented) questions, but just memorizing the 47 processes and 600+ ITTOs won't be enough to pass the exam.

^ this.

In addition to content, there is the need for test-taking skills; to stay focused, and on-track during the allotted 4 hours, prepared mentally and physically. 1) Read carefully, understand what is being asked and where you are. 2) Losing track of time can put you in a hole early on and set the wrong tone for the remainder - rush and panic.

1. Read PMBOK thoroughly and understand the terms, dont memorize
2. I followed Rita's PMP Exam Prep Book, it gives you good understanding of terms.
3. Get some PM fastrack software to get a feel of scenario based questions you will be encountering in exam, they are usually tricky. I followed Rita's fastrack.
4. There are few formulas which you should remember and practice.
5. I recommend 250- 350 hrs study.
6. If you can manage it before 6ht edition take into effect, get to study now.

Good Luck
