I'm wondering if anyone out there has examples of how they show on their resume work in CMM level 2 and 3 environments?
I have worked for companies that fit the qualifications for CMM level 2 (process for projects defined) and CMM level 3 (process for organizations defined) but the companies were not certified.
In my mind, following the processes of creating risk management plans, issue management plans, change management plans, etc.. all the things that you do for a project (following PMBOK guidelines) IS being a project manager and would qualify for CMM level 2. Is there a specific way to display this on one's resume other than stating what I just did?

Dear Anonymous, one of the best resumes that I have seen in terms of showing CMM experience was very simple and to the point. The candidate briefly described the CMM initiative he was involved with, stated his areas of responsibility, and then gave three examples of CMM actions followed by measurable end results for each action. Showing experience on a resume is helpful. Showing the value and transportability of that experience (skills) takes it a step further. For example, you mentioned creating risk, issue, and change management plans. For each of these areas, you can quantify value and show leverageable skills that most any hiring organization would appreciate.
