Yes. I have the opportunity to help several organizations to implement the role. In an European company related to automotive the name is "pilote" for example. In others the name is BRM (Business Relationship Manager), BTM (Business Transformation Manager) and in some of them the CIO got the role while she/he did not participate in detail initiatives but she/he was the head of the business analyst group. And I can send more names to you based on my personal and practical experience.
Thanks
Happy to see the is more than IT, just we don’t see much from those industry.

Hi Vincent, they (BA's) get assigned all sorts of ways. They are necessary sometimes, sometimes not, and sometimes it's hard to ascertain their value.
Sante like other type of activities not all is egally performing

In my 35 years in IT, I found that BAs tend to line up with the industry rather than the IT side. That's usually a good thing. The solution architects tend to be more on the side of IT. Again, that's a good thing.

Up to a point, Vincent. Our company delivers IT products and services to mostly government. In some cases, it is health care, sometimes its enterprise resources planning. Our BAs tend to be either health care focused or ERP focused. Please note that even in the case of ERPs, their focus is more on business and its associated processes, rather than the products.
