What do you do when one of your business contacts/connections in your vendor organization offers you a gift that is of greater value than permitted by your organization? Saving Changes...
Refering to professional code of conduct and ethics... As you interacted with this firm or individual due to organization you work with, hence, the gift should be directed to your organization. First and foremost, try to understand that the firm or individual is not offering you the gift as a bribe, if it is bribe, simply pull your hands and inform your direct supervisor and better would be to re-consider committment with that person or firm. If it is not bribe, then the gift is not for you, but for the organization who made you responsible to deal with that individual or firm. See the firms policy and/or ask the person or firm to send the gift to your organization in a professional way in front of many people, so there must be no space for over-stepping professional ethics. I hope this clears your problem. Saving Changes...
