Need help to understand what are the different ways on sharing PMC knowledge which helps in earning 25 PDU

A quick clarification. As we can claim max of 8 PDUs under giving back to community section per PMI standard, Me working as PM for past several years, can I claim 8 PDU(assuming each PDU is of 1 hr duration)?

You can claim 8 PDUs per cycle for working in project management amd if you publish any articles, do any presentations, you can also claim 1 PDU per hour.

What is per cycle?

Suresh - yes, the 8 PDUs for working in the profession can be claimed so long as you worked at least eight hours in the profession.

Nitin - a certification cycle is three years. It is calculated based on when you earned your certification so if you renew early, you do not get penalized. For example, if you earned your PMP on March 12, 2021, it would be up for renewal on March 12, 2024. However, if you earned the required PDUs and renewed your certification in 2022, the next three year cycle would still end on March 12, 2027.
